Today post is dedicated to this wonderful tea but with a little twist. I’m not going to be talking about drinking green tea but about using this beneficial tea as a foot bath for a pedicure. I know what you’re thinking GREEN TEA FOOT BATH! Yes, green tea is our main ingredient. Since spring is approaching shortly why not get ready with an all natural foot bath that can easily be made at home.

It’s almost time to put boots in the back of the closet, and pull out those cute sandals that have been hidden away just waiting for you to put them on. What better way to get ready for spring is by getting your feet to look the part?
The benefits of this green tea foot bath/pedicure are it helps with foot odor, help smooth cracked heels and overall it’s very relaxing.
So let’s get started!

Things you will need:

1) A foot bath (To soak your feet)
2) Green tea bag or green tea leaves (Green tea leaves can be found at any health food store)
3) Essential oil ( Any essential oil that relaxes you here are some choices if you don’t know
what kind of essential oil to get Lavender, peppermint, rosemary, tea tree, lemongrass)
4) Olive oil (This will be used as a moisturizer for your feet after you’re done)
5) A foot file (To get rid of any dead skin that has accumulated on the bottom of your feet)
6) Cuticle stick
6) Towel

Direction :
*1 cup green tea leaves or if you’re using the green tea bags use about 5 of the tea bags.
*Steep the tea leaves or tea bags in boiling water for 20 minutes (use a medium to large pot to steep the leaves in depending on the size of your foot bath.
*After 20 mins fill up your foot bath with the green tea let it sit until you’re able to put your foot in comfortably. While you’re waiting for it to cool down grab your favorite essential oil and put in a couple of drop 2-3 is a sufficient amount.
My favorite essential oil to add to my foot bath is tea tree it's very soothing. Tea tree oil itself has many beneficial properties that is why I choose to use it plus my feet feel amazing after using this essential oil. I must say if you use tea tree oil it is very strong so use only 1-2 drops.
*Soak your feet in the green tea for 15- 20 mins
*After your feet have been soaking take your foot file and buff away the dead skin on the bottom. Focus on your heels and wherever you think you need it most. Don’t forget to push back your cuticles as well with a cuticle stick.
*When you’re done pushing back your cuticles and buffing away the dead skin it’s time to wash your feet with warm water. Now your feet should feel so relaxed and smooth.
*But were not done just yet take a towel and dry your feet. Once that is done take a little bit of olive
oil and massage it on each foot.
And you’re done! You should now have soft spring ready feet.
